Screenings of Bobby Beauty Parlour, Aakhri Ride, Bhed Bakri Bhoot, and Incognito
This screening brings together four thrilling short films, Bobby Beauty Parlour, Aakhri Ride, Bhed Bakri Bhoot, and Incognito. Bobby Beauty Parlour, takes us through the lives of two young women who contemplate on friendship, moving cities, and the complications of adolescence. In Aakhri Ride, a taxi driver running out of time and with limited options to save his family’s honour, must decide which side of the law he wants to stay on. With Bhed Bakri Bhoot, India’s diversity comes to life as people express their personal frustrations and grievances using the toilet walls as their outlet. Incognito, questions the moral convictions of voyeurism.
In these films, turbulence manifests itself in different ways: through existing relationships, chance encounters, and street art (inside a loo).
Join us for Thursday Night Screenings as part of Cinema House!
The screening will be followed by a conversation with the filmmakers.
