Healing in the Age of AI - Origin of Thought | Session 05
Artificial intelligence shapes modern medicine and how it is practised. Medicine is a deeply personal space, with human emotions central to all interactions. As machines start listening in on patient interactions and help with diagnostics and decision-making, medical ethics as we know it faces new stresses.
In this conversation, facilitated by Dr. Sanat Phatak and Dr. Siddharth Warrier, we think about ethical frameworks updated to the AI era.
AI is already changing how we think as a whole. It has also begun to influence how clinicians reason, decide, and perhaps even perceive. Two practising doctors sit down to ask: What does it mean to extend human cognition with machines in the clinic? Where does the tool end and the thinking begin? How can AI interact with medicine without losing the human at the centre of care?
This session is part of Imaginative Intelligences with G5A: The Origin of Thought.
G5A, Mozilla Foundation and Berggruen Institute invite technologists and cultural practitioners to engage in the evolving relationship between humans and AI to learn, reflect, and build a space for shared inquiry for the future.
